Are ghosts AC or DC?
I’ve had a question for a long time, and I’ve never had a satisfactory answer. The question needs a little bit of explaining, so bear with me for a paragraph or so.
On one hand, investigators sometimes claim that they have had their battery drained, allegedly due to spiritual drainage so that the haunt can manifest itself. These reports are unverified, and are not even compared to results of regular batteries or rechargeable batteries of the same vintage. If you’ve been running on battery power for a couple of hours, the rechargeables might be empty, correct?
Then these investigators run around with EMF detectors, a classification of device that is best used to measure alternating or varying magnetic fields. They can go nuts around appliances, electronics, exposed wiring, and a number of other places where electricity is leaking otherwise perfectly normal amounts of EMF into the atmosphere. EMF detectors cannot measure static fields very well.
So, if I read all of these clues correctly, there is a belief that an entity can use a direct current voltage (a battery) to produce an alternating current or other means of influencing a magnetic field. I may be wrong, but it is not as easy to produce an EMF field that is detectable with an EMF detector from a direct current source. Can anybody help me with the physics on that point?
This raises related questions. How can you measure the polarity of a ‘ghost’? If a ghost must therefore have a positive and a negative charge, can you find those poles with other equipment?
Or… oooops! What if the ghost is bipolar? Does he then mope around all day waiting for the humans to get home from work, and then he goes on a haunting spree? No. Never mind. I went a step too far. =D

I’ve sort of come to the belief that spiritual physics are beyond and outside of space and time, and therefore they do not apply. They are a neutral in a world filled with positives and negatives. In order to manifest, they feed off of positive (warm, hot, powered) energy by drawing it in, consuming it in a way, and then it becomes expelled thru force and resistance as negative (used up, cold, anti-polar) energy.
This would explain cold spots, cold feelings, the prickly feelings, the numbness, the high emf-related paranoia and chills people can get.
Would also explain battery drains…negative energy can negate positive energy, and vice-versa. The neutral-energy is then able to be converted since it is in a constant cycle, and thereby allows it to exsist in our physical world by physics alone! ;)
Working on next: narrowing the frequency that EVP’s flow in on, and building a recorder/microphone that allows better amplification of said frequency/other frequency blocking
